Bakon Equipment BV is a leading international company that was founded in 1986 in The Netherlands by Henk Wijs and Frank Coenmans.
In 1991, the US company, Bakon USA Food Equipment, was created to better serve the needs of the North-American customers.
The company focuses on specific technologies and their applications in the food industry, especially the bakery, pastry and chocolate world.
Bakon USA Food Equipment was created in 1991. Since then, the company has been located in Southern California.
In the mid 2000s, Bakon USA started producing locally.
In 2008, the company moved to the City of Torrance in the Los Angeles area (about 15 minutes south of LAX Los Angeles international airport).
At that time, we added a fully equipped showroom and made it available to professionals for a closer look at our equipment. The showroom has also provided the possibility of testing products, training, and participation in our regular classes. It has become a meeting place for food professionals.
In 2011, Bakon USA began the distribution of the superior Koma line of refrigeration products.
In 2015, Bakon USA introduces the OCF refrigerated displays to North-America.
